As Chief Safety and Transformation Officer, Dr. Gandhi, MPH, CPPS is responsible for improving patient and workforce safety, and developing innovative healthcare transformation strategies. She leads the Zero Harm movement and helps healthcare organizations recognize inequity as a type of harm for both patients and the workforce. Dr. Gandhi also leads the Press Ganey Equity Partnership, a collaborative initiative dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities and the impact of racial inequities on patients and caregivers. Before joining Press Ganey, Dr. Gandhi served as Chief Clinical and Safety Officer at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), where she led IHI programs focused on improving patient and workforce safety.

Bringing over three decades of experience, Thompson is a seasoned innovator in shaping analytics strategy, with a focus on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. 

In his previous position at Cedars-Sinai Health System, Thompson spearheaded advancements in data warehousing, data science, and applied AI. His dedication to AI transparency was critical in founding Cedars-Sinai’s AI Validation lab, where he successfully tested and implemented AI-driven solutions for real-time healthcare challenges. Thompson has also held data and analytics leadership roles at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, SunTrust Banks, IPS-Sendero, and ProfitStars.

Ajay Kumar

MD, MBA, Chief Clinical Officer, Hartford HealthCare

Mr. Ajay Kumar serves as Executive at Hartford HealthCare. He joined Hartford HealthCare in 2011. He has more than two decades of healthcare experience and has served in a wide range of leadership roles with oversight of quality and patient safety, risk management, hospital operations and education. Prior to his role as Chief Clinical Officer, He was the Vice President of Medical Affairs for the Hartford Region, where he made great contributions in improving Hartford Hospital's operational efficiency, quality and patient safety. He served as Chairman of Hartford Hospital's Department of Medicine from October 2013 through December 2018, and also formerly led the Division of Hospital Medicine. In that capacity, his efforts focused on service reorganization, recruitment, quality, and process improvement.
